Michael Herbert, President
Mike joined the Company in 1973. He initially joined the Company as a clinician at its St. Francis Health Care Center and later started the rehabilitation services program at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Ohio. He has 39 years of experience in the physical therapy industry as a clinician and as a management executive. He has held officer positions with the Ohio Physical Therapy Association and spent 15 years on the Physical Therapy Section of the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainer Licensure Board. In addition, he has participated as a member of the Board for the St. Francis Home in Tiffin, Ohio, Easter Seals, and the Arthritis Foundation. He received his Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Ohio State University.
Larry Adelsperger, Vice President
Larry joined the Company in 1986. He initially joined the Company as the Manager of Operations. He previously worked for the General Electric Company in Tiffin, Ohio for 23 years in the hourly wage management, industrial engineering, and human resources departments. He has 24 years of experience with the Company as a management executive. He is currently a member of the St Francis Health Care Advisory Board, City of Tiffin Zoning Board of Appeals, the Calvert High School Foundation, Tiffin University and the Tiffin Charitable Foundation.
Mark Somodi, Executive Director
Mark joined P.T. Services in 1995 and is responsible for the overall coordination of staff, administrative structure, and fiscal operations of the Company. He has 20 years of experience in the healthcare services field including experience in the hospital setting at Saint Louis University Medical Center, Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital and Saint Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He is currently a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and is an adjunct professor at Tiffin University in addition to his involvement with the local Rotary chapter. He received his Bachelors in Applied Mathematics with a certificate in Business Administration as well as a Masters of Health Administration from Saint Louis University. In addition, he received a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Services Administration from Southwest University.
Kevin Knaup, CFO
Kevin has been with P.T. Services since 1995 and is responsible for all accounting and fiscal operations for the company. He supervises the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing/collections staff. Kevin previously worked for Countrymark Cooperative, Inc. as the Controller and Data Processing Coordinator and for Harr and Scherer, CPA, Inc. as an Audit Manager. He has 34 years of accounting experience and is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Jones College.
Shannon Reardon, Director, Physical Medicine
Shannon is the Director of the Fremont location, a trustee for the ESOP, and a leader across the company for effective performance and compliance. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science in Allied Health Professions in 1991. In Fremont she is responsible for the hospital, Countryside Continuing Care Center, Home Health, Genoa Clinic, and Sandusky County area school services. Prior to her role in Fremont Memorial hospital, Shannon was the assistant director at Green Springs Rehab.
Ed Treft, Director Business Development
Ed is responsible for strategic planning, marketing and business development for the company. He assist healthcare organizations value the true strategic nature of rehabilitation and implements services to improve clinical excellence and profitability. Ed’s 25-year business experience includes 22 years of Military Service, U.S. Army Healthcare, Executive Management, and National Sales Leadership. Ed has a wealth of experience in strategic planning, program management, process improvement, innovation and technology. He holds a Bachelors of Management from Tri-State University and a Master of Business Administration from Tiffin University.
Kevin Slates, Director Human Resources
Kevin grew up in Woodville and graduated from Woodmore High School. After high school, Kevin attended Heidelberg University where he received Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. He also attended the University of Findlay and obtained a MBA with an Organizational Leadership concentration. He began his work career at Sun Federal Credit Union and most recently was the Treasurer at Woodmore Local Schools.
